KOOMPLIMENTS is a Swiss online shop that works with many small workshops and independent designers. This collection brings their pieces together: rings, earrings, necklaces and bracelets that are not made in large factories, but in studios where you know the people behind the jewellery. Only models that are currently available are shown.

Some of the workshops

  • Niger: Tuareg silversmiths such as Mohamed, who learned the craft from his father and now works silver and ebony with his family. More in Tuareg jewelry.

  • Colombia: the brand Bamboleira, whose earrings in gold-plated bronze and woven werregue palm fibre are made, among others, by Wounaan women, and a workshop that reproduces pre-Columbian goldwork from the Gold Museum in Bogotá. More in Earrings from South America.

What “handmade” means here

Many pieces are made individually or in very small series. Small differences in shape, colour or surface compared to the photo are therefore possible and part of the charm. Materials vary from workshop to workshop: 925 silver, gold-plated bronze, brass, stainless steel, zamak, polymer clay, leather or natural stone. The product page tells you exactly what was used and where a piece comes from.

Frequently asked questions

Is the jewellery made in Switzerland?

No. KOOMPLIMENTS is based in Switzerland and ships from here, but the jewellery comes from artisans in the countries listed above. We do not offer custom-made pieces.

Is every piece 925 silver?

No. Many are 925 sterling silver, others are gold-plated bronze, stainless steel, zamak or polymer clay. The product page is what counts.

Is there a warranty and gift wrapping?

Yes. All pieces come with a 5-year warranty, and on request we gift-wrap your order free of charge.
